Design and implementation of a new portable hybrid solar atmospheric water-generation system.
The challenge is finding less energy-intensive technologies than cooling and condensing to extract water from low-humidity air.
Testing 3 types of solar water generators - TEC uses the Peltier effect with no moving parts to generate a cold surface that condenses atmospheric water. Another uses hygroscopic materials to trap water, subsequently released by heating the material.
