Using a cell phone camera chip for medical diagnosis


Saw an interesting piece on using a digital camera chip for remote medical diagnosis. It's a way of getting microscopic analysis without a microscope - the sample just sits on top of the camera sensor chip. The shadows the specimen casts can provide enough information for clinical diagnosis. You can see it online at
