NYTimes: Has Conceptual Art Jumped the Shark Tank?

An interesting essay that argues that humans have an innate taste for
art that displays detail, conscientiousness, planning, and skill. And
that some clever but culturally referenced works of current great
value will soon lose their ephemeral value.
